First of all, this rubber (red, 2.0mm) has not got loads of speed. It has lots of spin, forehand loops are very easy to get on the table, chops are very spinny and are very floaty.Spin on service is great, short pushes are very easy.I have had this rubber about a year, and apart from the topsheet losing its tackiness after a few months, it still plays well with good spin.It has been banged on the table several times and only has one very small chip on the edge. Enjoy your TT!

Good spin, control, and dwell time on this rubber. Great for learning. All the noobs at work like this rubber paired with an ALL blade.

I tried at 2.2 mm, and this rubber is a disaster.I think I got botched rubber,No tackiness, super low throw, damp feel,But then, I change the sponge to Kokutaku Blutenkirsche Japan 1.5 mm, using boiled water method, and, voilaSpinny, slow, but very high throw, which I like. :)

i use the red 1,5mm n stick it with SG as my BH chopping rubber on my Xiom Aigis, an oversized head def blade..it chops very well, very spinny..speed is enough for me to chop the ball away from the table..the control is good, very good indeed.. i can put the ball where i wanted..i have tried this rubber on LKT Transformer XC, the spin on serves is better than when i use it on aigis, maybe because the head heavy effect on the aigis.. IMO.. thats it, good ruber for all level player.. chopchop!!

Butterfly Defense X FH: 729 GeoSpin Tacky 1.5mm (black)BH: TSP Curl P1R 1.0mm (red)This is a very spiny rubber! I've produced the most heavy chops ever with it comparing to the other defensive rubbers I've used in the past like Tackiness Chop II, GD Submarine, Moristo DEF, etc. The spin is equal to DHS SkyLine TG2 NEO, but the tackiness is lesser comparing to it (TG2 NEO). The throw angle is lower and the sponge of GeoSpin is slightly harder. Control is great, at least in 1.5mm. One tip on how to keep your rubber tacky longer? To prolong the tackiness of your rubbers you must use protective cover sheet, that would seal the top-sheet from air (oxygen) contact. By doing so, you will stop the oxidation reaction. It means you're significantly slowing down the process of tackiness digression, and prolonging ability of rubber to generate spin. Adhesive protective cover is available in most of the table tennis stores, and cost around $2 USD. It looks like sticky transparent plastic sheet. When you pill it apart you will see something similar to a sticky tape on a hard plastic sheet with some kind of tackiness/stickiness on the side that goes on top of your tacky rubber. If your protective cover picked up some dust and particles, use clean water and gently wipe them off. Let most of the water stream down and apply cover over your rubber.

This is too slow rubber for me nowadays. Earlier it worked pretty well in fast blades like Galaxy T11.

I expected this rubber to be very tacky based on other people's reviews. It is not as tacky as people say it is, and this is the black sheet I'm referring to. It can pick up a ball for about a second before dropping it. DHS Hurricane 2 and 3 are both tackier than this. It is a nice alternative to the hurricane series though as it is lighter and cheaper. Spin is good, throw is a bit high.

The GeoSpin Tacky is so highly developed, it is able to stand out to its magnificent spin and control. Although it does not aim high on speed (for me), it is an easy to use rubber, most specially for loopers, and for offensive players. The GeoSpin Tacky, though, does not match with all great blades. I recommend to use it on Stiga and Friendship 729 blades, unless one know's how to tap its potential.

you'll make spinny ball with a little effort. but, it's really sensitive on oncoming spin

Very nice rubber for spin based play. If you want to top spin easily you have to take at least 2 mm and apply a booster. If you have a large spin move, you don't need booster. Throw angle is low so it needs to accommodate. Serves returns restitute a lot of spin and I think it's hard to play against pips out with this rubber because the ball often finishes in the net.

This rubber is great. I wanted spin for driving & looping more than anything and this rubber delivers. It's the best I've played with.At first some reviews talking about lack of speed concerned me but rest assure you'll be fine. When you smash, you'll get enough speed to put away points. As I hit with this rubber I'll notice how good the spin is. It feels great. But not once while playing did I notice any lack of speed. It's a complete non-issue IMO.My favorite rubber and great price.

Great rubber if you want something good for spiny serves and pushes with better abilities for loops than classic 729FX, thanks to the softer topsheet and sponge.

Not once in my short table tennis career have I played with a rubber that has so much much spin on the ball. I absolutely love this rubber! My style of play supports all-around offense, with precise placement. I love this rubber for its ability to create spin, not for its speed. I require spin to control nearly all of my shots. I like this rubber in its lowest thickness (1.5mm) for the added control on pushes and chops. It is fantastic for serving, and I am able to hit brush loop strokes with extreme spin fairly well, and chop with very heavy backspin.

This rubber is great! The ball really digs in to the sponge and gets amazing spin. the sponge is definetly of the softer sid but the top sheet it hard so you dont lose speed. you can get some fast balls with this rubber. you dont have to worry about it being too slow lets just say that, i use this for FH with black, never tried red tho. once you get use to it it is a great rubber, especially for strong loops and spinny serves. chopping takes a little getting use to but its good for it once you figure it out. if you like looping with good control get this rubber!!

Black holds it sticky more than the red.Great forplaying against strong loop, you can chop it back every time even in 2.2mm thickness.Lacks in speed but makes up for that in spin and control. One of my favorites in the 729 range.

I use this rubber for low level intermediate play, and I can deliver very nice and very spinny serves with it. I have a little more trouble generating topspin with it, but I don't think anyone buys this for offensive looping. Either way, it doesn't really do anything poorly...

I bought this rubber and expected so much more out of it. Especially out of the power sponge!! Spin is excellent, but speed is another story. I like to loop drive and smash when able, but found both being returned to continue the rally from players who normally miss these shots from me. I think this rubber is more for players who enjoy controlled looping at close distance and spinny service. For someone looking to loop drive with a similar type rubber, try the 729 Transcend which is much faster and just as spinny.

This is a really really hard rubber. I thought it wasn't going to be that hard but it was. It is an alright rubber to start out with and it is decent maybe mediocre at best. But it is a great deal.

This Rubber is FUN!!! Any time you can chop a serve that stops in place and bounces or shoots straight off to the side of the table, you've got a winner. I have the 2.0 foam and will get the 2.2 next time. I put it on a Extra Fast Blade and the combination of Speed and Spin is Just Sick. If you have not tried this you should.

GeoSpin Tacky has a great spin and is very easy to control. I have quite a few friends who play a loop-based style, and they all love this rubber. I, on the other hand, play a allround attack/counterdrive style. For me, this rubber only works if you have a high offensive rubber on the other side for contrast. If you chose to use it this way you can get an amazing mix of very fast and extremely spinny shots. This rubber is a must have for loopers. I think it's probably the tackiest rubber I have ever experienced. The only thing is that the spin quality wears down very very quickly. You can still get great spin but not oustanding. After it wears down, it becomes more or less an average Chinese rubber. Even with that said, this rubber is still practical in the sense that it comes at a relatively cheap price and can be replaced fairly often.

I read some review about this rubber being very tacky. However, it's not super tacky. I rate the tackiness at 7 or 8. If you press the ball down hard with the rubber it will lift the ball about 4 inches and fall. The sponge is hard and the top sheet is somewhat medium soft. Power is decent. Everything is not bad. Possible to do Chinese and Euro strokes with this. Serves are spinny and loops are not bad. Overall for the price I rate it 8. The black and red are a little different in tackiness, gets more noticeable as you play more. I did not use speedglue

To be honest, i was hoping for even more spin than what this can generate. Not to say that it can't, it still generates great spin. I just don't think it lives up to the hype though. But, like all RITC 729 rubbers, you absolutely cannot beat the value- great rubber especially for 13 dollars, happy customer.

This is a good rubber. Versatile. Very different between the black topsheet (very tacky) and red topsheet (significantly less tacky). Plays well off the table and in close. Good short game. The only weakness is that is it not real fast and players who want a good off the table looping rubber would need to speed glue it significantly.

I use the regular version of this rubber, because when I tried this rubber I found it too be too tacky. Even after some of the tack had worn off, the ball stuck to the rubber and slowed down the ball too much. This is probably the spinniest rubber I've ever tried. There's a significant difference in tack between the red and black versions.

I have tried about ever rubber on the market and nothing comes close to the spin of geospin and other thing is the price it works better that rubbers that cost $30-$40 more
